Peter Ehmann – Cat2/M35/MTB/CX

by Pete

Age 37, Bloomfield Twp, MI, USCF Road Cat2, MTB Pro, CX Cat2
Pete’s bike racing background originates in the dirt. He’s been mountain biking since the early 90’s and began racing on the local Michigan mountain bike circuit in 2002. By 2003, he was racing the Elite open class and by 2005 things were clicking well. Pete was making regular local podium appearances and chasing the national NORBA circus as a semi-pro. A pro upgrade eventually followed but family obligations (a toddler and infant) put the kibosh on any national level race chasing.

In 2006, Pete made his appearances onto the road scene with the HDI-Giant team and got his Cat 2 upgrade in 2007. The mountain bike mind-set has been hard to overcome and Peter is working on not being the peloton’s lead-out guy. He’s looking forward to the 2010 season racing with Team Giant and looking forward to some cyclo-cross action to close out the season.
Strengths:Riding a break when possible
Weaknesses:Finding time to train, Sprinting, IPA’s (mmmmmm)
